Our alumni and friends prove year after year that they are not only our greatest ambassadors, but also our greatest supporters. Last year, thousands of alumni and friends contributed almost over $9.5 million to the university. This is a tremendous level of support and we simply cannot fully express how much we appreciate this generosity.
This support has not only had a deep impact on the university as a whole but specifically on the people that make up Memorial –our students, faculty and staff - who benefit directly as a result of these gifts.
Since its founding in 1925, Memorial University has played an integral role in the development of Newfoundland and Labrador's culture, identity, and economy. For more than 80 years Memorial has educated our leaders, healthcare workers, teachers, entrepreneurs, scientists, artists, and more. It has advanced our communities, helped to evolve the economic base of our province, and conducted research of national and international significance.
Memorial has the vision, the drive, and the creativity to lead the province into an influential future. What it still requires are the resources.
Together, we can create the Memorial University of the future – a place where the thoughts of brilliant minds transform into the reality around us.
