Library Services

Members of the Memorial University of Newfoundland Alumni Association are eligible to borrow books from all the MUN libraries. Your Alumni Campus Card serves as your library card.

Memorial University Libraries have launched a web site for Memorial University alumni and public patrons, which provides a guide to library services available to them at Memorial University of Newfoundland. The page is available at http://www.library.mun.ca/alumni/.

Highlighted among the services for alumni and the public is a link to a list of free electronic journals available over the Internet. This list was created specifically for Memorial University of Newfoundland alumni and guests, and includes over 8500 journals covering all different disciplines.

Also available on the new site are links to Library-compiled Government Information, Internet Resources and the Library Catalogue. In addition, the web page provides easy access to the Centre for Newfoundland Studies, the Newfoundland and Labrador Public Libraries, and other libraries in Canada and around the world.

Memorial University Libraries’ full range of online help is offered to its alumni and public patrons including Ask a Librarian (e-mail), Live Chat (instant messaging), and telephone reference assistance. Through the links to information specifically designed for them, the Libraries’ alumni and guests can discover the additional services available through the physical libraries.

The Memorial University Libraries system looks forward to the increased use of its collections by alumni and the Newfoundland and Labrador community.
